The Year in Review

One year ago, in April 2008, I delivered on one of my long-standing business goals: launch a monthly newsletter for my clients (existing and future).

I committed to bringing you valuable knowledge and information you could put to work immediately in your own organization.

I know from the regular emails I have received over the course of the last 12 months, that many of you have found value in our articles, our book reviews and our monthly feature called "One More Thing".

This month, I would like to review the many articles we have shared with you during the last year.  For those of you that joined us after our launch in April 2008, you may not have had a chance to read some of these earlier pieces.  This is your opportunity to catch up.

For those of you that have been with us from the beginning: Thank You, and you may find value in rereading selected articles.

The Reader's Dozen

Each month, we review a book selected to both engage and challenge leaders as they seek to make a difference in their organizations.

In honor of our one-year anniversary of publishing The Leadership Fit® Newsletter, we take time to revisit the dozen books we reviewed on these pages.  We recommend each of these books to you as you continue down your own path to leadership fitness.

One More Thing

I came upon this video on www.ted.com by journalist Carl Honore on the subject of "slowing down in a world built for speed".

The speaker is known for his advocacy of the Slow Movement, and his belief that the Western world's emphasis on speed erodes health, productivity and quality of life.

Be forewarned!  You won't be able to take in his entire message in just a few minutes.  Carl's talk lasts almost 20 minutes.  When you have the time to slow down just a bit, take a listen and enjoy.
